The Manufacturing Engineering intern will support the Design & Development team by assisting with day‑to‑day tasks, project work, and cross‑functional initiatives. This role is designed to provide hands‑on experience, professional development, and exposure to core business operations within Sellmark.
The intern will work under the guidance of a designated supervisor and collaborate with team members to contribute to meaningful projects aligned with departmental goals. Responsibilities may include research, data analysis, documentation, administrative support, and participation in team meetings or ongoing initiatives.
Internship program will run 12 weeks starting late May

- Migrate CAD files from Pro/Engineer (Pro/E) to Solid Works for the Inforce product line.
- Update existing drawings and models to current GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards.
- Develop and write work instructions for manufacturing processes and test equipment operation.
- Operate production test equipment and accurately record results.
- Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, or performance gaps.
- Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on production and quality issues.
- Assist in maintaining organized CAD file libraries and revision control.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to validate updated drawings against physical assemblies.
- Document process improvements and flag inconsistencies found during file migration.
- Capstone presentation at the conclusion of internship.
Perform additional duties as required to support the department's effective operation.
QUALIFICATIONS- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university program relevant to Engineering, Design & Development.
- Strong interest in Engineering, Manufacturing, Production.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
Solid Works (required), Pro/Engineer / Creo (preferred), GD&T fundamentals (coursework or prior experience preferred). - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Professional attitude with a high level of integrity and accountability.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- May be required to sit or stand, travel for extended periods.
- Occasional bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and operating office machinery.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Primarily office‑based with exposure to outdoor conditions.
- Main hours are Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm in office.
- Schedule may include evenings or weekends based on business needs.
