The Electrical Engineer II independently performs engineering tasks on defined projects with moderate complexity across several product categories. This role is responsible for developing circuit designs, performing design validation, and managing assigned tasks within cross-functional teams while continuously improving technical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution or program.
- Experience: One (1) to three (3) years of direct electrical work experience.
- Skills:
- Strong technical, analytical, planning, time management, organizational, and conflict resolution skills.
- Prior experience in the design of hand-held electronic products and rechargeable battery systems is preferred.
- Solid understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals with demonstrated ability to apply circuit design principles and conduct hands-on testing and validation of prototypes.
- Experience with small rechargeable batteries (e.g., 18650, Li-Po pouch) and USB charging methodologies is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical analyses and financial justifications to support decision-making at all organizational levels.
- Ability to function effectively in an environment of constantly changing priorities, goals, and direction, often under stressful conditions and time constraints.
- Strong team focus and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
