About the Role Provide Technical Leadership & Project Oversight
  • Guide and review engineering designs, calculations, layouts, estimates, and quotes for MSE wall system solutions.
  • Lead and manage project submittals—including design packages, stability analyses, internal/external checks, and shop drawing reviews.
  • Support field and production needs, including design modifications, repair recommendations, and resolution of nonconformances.
Collaborate Across the Business
  • Provide design support, specifications, solution development, installation guidance, and project‑cycle problem‑solving for our clients and customers as well as Bridge Consultants as needed.
  • Build strong relationships with project managers, geotechnical engineers, civil engineers, contractors, operations teams, and QA/QC personnel to ensure project success.
  • Communicate key metrics, recommendations, and technical insights to senior leadership.
  • Contribute to process improvements, strategic initiatives, and the development of tools that enhance engineering efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with plant managers, clerks, project managers on project status updates and product specifications, testing, and improvements.
Ensure Technical Excellence
  • Perform and oversee engineering analysis and design of MSE wall systems
    , including global stability, internal stability, external stability, and connection design. Consult with outside engineering firms as needed.
  • Manage all outside client/customer projects through all stages; take‑off, submittal, preconstruction meetings, field resolution and installation support as needed. Responsible for all communication and execution of lead times for prelims, quotes, and submittals.
  • Review drawings and calculations for quality, accuracy, and compliance with engineering intent and applicable standards.
  • Respond to field inquiries and coordinate timely, practical solutions that support both customer needs and business objectives.
  • Manage State DOT approvals, QPL, APL, as required for Vist‑A‑Wall precast and wire walls.
  • Maintain working knowledge of relevant codes and standards: AASHTO, FHWA MSE wall design guidance, ASCE 7, ACI, and other applicable specifications.
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, focus on structures or geotechnical engineering.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the MSE wall industry.
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM or related project management databases.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data management tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
Preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Strong understanding of civil site plans and technical specifications.
