Addiction Recovery Specialist – Recovery and Wellness

Location:

Addiction Recovery Center, 240 North Miller Road Mansfield, TX 76063

Hours:

PRN; day/night and weekend availability required. Shift 6:45 - 7:15

• High school diploma or equivalent. (An associate's degree in mental health or another healthcare-related field is acceptable.)
• One year of experience in substance abuse treatment or as a patient care technician (preferred). Experience in substance abuse and/or addiction is also preferred.
• CNA certification (if no higher degree).
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be maintained quarterly).
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (30 days required and must be maintained).
• AHAFA – American Heart Association First Aid Certification (90 days required and must be maintained).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to listen actively and use non-verbal communication with patients.

• Provide therapeutic communication while interacting with patients, collaborating with the Wellness and Recovery care team, and working effectively with nursing staff.
• Demonstrate active listening and appropriate non-verbal communication elements.
