Position SummaryThe Manufacturing Production Team Leader is responsible for overseeing daily production operations of their assigned team. They ensure that safety, quality, and production goals are met while leading and coaching a team of operators and technicians. This role requires strong leadership skills, problem‑solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate manufacturing operations to meet production schedules.
- Monitor workflow, resource allocation, and production output to ensure efficiency.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during production and implement corrective actions.
- Lead, train, and mentor production team members to improve performance and morale.
- Conduct team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and safety procedures.
- Provide performance feedback and support employee development initiatives.
- Manage employee disciplinary matters in alignment with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure all products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Enforce company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct inspections and audits to maintain compliance with industry regulations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives to optimize production flow.
- Collaborate with other departments to drive operational excellence.
Supervises daily:
Production Technicians, CNC Machinists.
- Shift‑based schedule (with weekends and holidays as required).
- Manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Standing for long periods and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3+ years of experience in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Professional experience in automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, or a similar industrial sector.
- Strong understanding of production processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as SAP.
