Our client, a precision engineering, manufacturing, and machining company dedicated to producing high-performance, mission-critical components and solutions for the energy, defense, aerospace, and heavy industrial industries, is looking to add a CNC Lathe Machinist to their team. In this role, you will be responsible for machining high-quality complex components that conform to engineered drawings and specifications. The candidate will need to be a critical thinker, have sharp attention to detail, and follow existing proven processes.

- 1st Shift: MON-THURS 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM CST
- 2nd Shift: MON-THURS 4:30 PM - 2:45 AM CST

Position Type:

As a CNC Set-up Machinist, you'll operate and program CNC machines to produce high-quality parts. You'll play a key role in ensuring precision and efficiency in manufacturing, utilizing your expertise in CAM programming, CNC operation, and quality inspection.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines.
- Read blueprints.
- Set up and run multiple lathe machines.
- Modify and edit G/M code programs.
- Inspect parts using quality assurance tools such as gauges and micrometers.
- Train and mentor other machinists when needed.
- Maintain equipment and ensure a safe work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5-7 years of CNC programming and operation experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and precision machining skills.
- Ability to work with 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC mills.
- Experience with Solid Works is a plus.
