NSC Staffing has an immediate opening for a Band Saw Operator in Mansfield, Texas! Shift: 1st shift, schedule 7a – 3:30p, Monday – Friday Pay: $16/hour

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Band Saw Operator to join our custom metal fabrication team. This role is essential to our production process, ensuring precise cuts and accurate material preparation for one-of-a-kind metal projects. The ideal candidate will have experience operating industrial band saw and a strong understanding of metal types, cutting techniques, and safety protocols.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operate horizontal and vertical band saws to cut metal stock to specified dimensions
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, cut lists, and work orders
• Measure and mark materials accurately using tape measure, calipers and squares
• Select appropriate blades and cutting speeds based on material type and thickness
• Perform routine maintenance and blade changes to ensure optimal machine performance
• Inspect cut pieces for accuracy and quality, making adjustments as needed

Duties:

• Load and secure metal stock onto saw tables and fixtures
• Monitor cutting operations to prevent overheating, blade wear, or material shifting
• Debur and clean cut edges as required for downstream processes
• Track material usage and report inventory needs
