Become a Key Player as a Silicone Extrusion Operator

You will operate and set up silicone extrusion equipment to produce quality hose products that meet specifications. In this role you’ll work onsite on 2nd shift (3:30 PM–11:30 PM), Monday–Friday, supporting production and collaborating with maintenance and leads to meet output and quality goals.

Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team

• Review the production schedule and plan daily job duties to meet output requirements
• Mill silicone per specification and prepare hose for extrusion
• Set up extruders for vertical, horizontal, and manual wrap configurations according to manufacturing specs
• Cut and send test samples to the lab and record quality data for traceability
• Measure outer diameter and wall thickness; verify conformance to max/min tolerances
• Provide reeled products to Hose Coiling for inspection
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and follow 5S practices
• Follow safety regulations and report production issues to the direct lead
• Perform work at equal or lower classifications as needed

Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of manufacturing facility experience preferred
• Basic computer skills and ability to use hand tools
• Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills
• Good math, reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain continuous mental, visual, and audio attention; strong attention to detail
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks (lifting, bending, pushing/pulling)

Here's What Else Might Help You Out

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S
• Prior exposure to production or industrial safety procedures

Pay Range

$19.20 - $24.00/hour
