Registered Nurse; Newborn Admission; PRN Tier 3

Role Overview

Provides highly professional nursing care to neonates in a NICU setting, collaborating with NICU and L&D RNs to support newborns from birth to post-transfer, including monitoring transitioning infants. Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver quality patient care.

• Adheres to hospital standards, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
• Assumes responsibility for patient and family education.
• Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Ensures accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
• Administers medications and IV therapies safely and accurately.
• Engages in professional growth and assumes other duties as assigned.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Valid nursing license in Texas or eligibility.
• At least 2 years of RN experience, including 1 year in L&D or NICU with delivery newborn care.
