Store Environment Team Member

Job Overview

Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, ensuring cleanliness and recovery standards in order to deliver our Brand Promises. Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop and find what they’re looking for. Perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks, and support general retail operations as required.

• Maintain overall store appearance and cleanliness, including recovery standards.
• Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in locating products.
• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
• Dust and damp mop floors according to approved procedures.
• Move equipment and products for proper cleaning, and return products to correct placement.
• Clean assigned areas using specified materials and equipment.
• Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• Deep clean key areas such as bathrooms, break rooms, entry ways, and other high‑traffic areas.
• Maintain cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notify supervisor of supply needs in advance for replenishment.
• Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
• Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers, even in difficult situations.
• Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other Team Members.
• Execute a fast and friendly checkout experience and handle cash in accordance with standards.
• Engage customers on the benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Assist with omni‑channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; execute Company policies and standards.

• Retail and/or cleaning experience is preferred.

Ability to remain standing for long periods of time; move throughout the store; regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching; lift heavy boxes and access high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
