Automotive Channel Sales Manager

This position is responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities while maintaining and strengthening relationships with regional and national distributors in the automotive industry. The role involves strategic planning, coordination, and execution of sales initiatives to achieve and exceed revenue targets within the Automotive Channel.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact and liaison with assigned major accounts within the assigned channel.
  • Work with national and key regional customers in the assigned channel and maintain an excellent understanding of the business within the market segment.
  • Orchestrate field efforts on programs established at each account by working with the Director of Channel Sales to ensure program execution and desired results.
  • Create and sustain relationships with influential decision makers at each account by compiling a comprehensive understanding of each account's culture, key personnel, and direction.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key buying end‑user customers to support pull‑through sales.
  • Execute strategies and programs that maximize sales while upholding margins with key accounts. Ensure both short‑ and long‑term strategies are developed and updated frequently, focusing on significant opportunities.
  • Maintain and update distributor displays, adding new products and additional SKUs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required, plus three to five years of experience in sales team management or national account responsibility. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Multi‑year experience in sales forecasting, successful consulting, developing sales programs, and promotions is preferred.
  • Must project an image with accounts that emanates professionalism, competence, credibility, and integrity.
  • Individual possesses a high degree of people and presentation skills, a sense of urgency, and is adept at the art of negotiation.
  • Must have versatility and flexibility in adjusting to changing business needs and priorities, and strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic knowledge using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong team focus and ability to work with others, both internal and external to the organization.
Physical Demand Requirements

Occasionally required to stand, walk, or sit; use hands to grasp, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; use fingers to touch, pick, or pinch objects; reach with hands and arms; push or pull; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; use foot or leg controls; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.

For all jobs no one should lift over 50 pounds on their own. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

This role has an annual On-Target Earnings (OTE) range of $100,000–$120,000. Actual earnings may vary based on numerous factors including but not limited to performance, experience, and location.
