Senior Streets Technician - Lead Road & Drainage Crew

• Tradesperson: $41,944.00 - $49,927.00 ($20.16 - $24.00/Hourly)
• Technician: $46,243.00 - $55,045.00 ($22.23 - $26.46/Hourly)
• Senior Technician: $50,983.00 - $60,687.00 ($24.51 - $29.17/Hourly)

The Trade Person is under the general supervision of the Public Works Crew Leader. The Trade Person is minimally knowledgeable and performs semi-skilled maintenance work on City streets and drainage systems. The Trade Person shall be capable of performing basic tasks with supervision.

• Perform maintenance and repair work on City concrete and asphalt streets on a regularly scheduled basis.
• Tamp, pack, shovel and level concrete/asphalt, or other materials.
• Load and unload materials and equipment.
• Operate heavy equipment used in street maintenance and related activities (i.e. Roller, Dump Truck, Backhoe, Front-End loader, Skid Steer, Jackhammer, Drills, Hand Tools).

The Streets Technician is under the general supervision of the Public Works Crew Leader. The Technician is moderately knowledgeable and performs semi-skilled maintenance work on City streets and drainage systems. The Streets Technician shall be capable of performing basic tasks without supervision.

• Perform maintenance and repair work on City concrete and asphalt streets on a regularly scheduled basis.
• Tamp, pack, shovel and level concrete/asphalt, or other materials.
• Load and unload materials and equipment.
• Operate heavy equipment used in street maintenance and related activities (i.e. Roller, Dump Truck, Backhoe, Front-End loader, Skid Steer, Jackhammer, Drills, Hand Tools).

The Senior Technician is under the general supervision of the Public Works Crew Leader. The Senior Technician is knowledgeable and performs skilled maintenance work on City streets and drainage systems. The Senior Technician shall be capable of supervising and directing the work of others in the absence of the crew leader.

• Maintains a high standard of safety, conduct, and job performance.
• Perform maintenance and repair work on City concrete and asphalt streets on a regularly scheduled basis.
• Tamp, pack, shovel and level concrete/asphalt, or other materials.
• Load and unload materials and equipment.
• Operate heavy equipment used in street maintenance and related activities (i.e. Roller, Dump Truck, Backhoe, Front-End loader, Skid Steer, Jackhammer, Drills, Hand Tools).

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have valid Class A CDL or obtain within the 6 month probationary period.
• Ability to, while under supervision, take on-call duties within 1 year.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have valid Class A CDL or obtain within the 6 month probationary period.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in concrete, asphalt and/or drainage work.
• Ability to work in the on-call rotation.
• Basic knowledge of all work procedures and operation of the equipment.
• Possession of Work Zone Traffic Control Certification.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have valid Class A CDL or obtain within the 6 month probationary period.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in concrete, asphalt and/or drainage work.
• Participates in and shows proficiency in the on-call rotation, proficient in all aspects of work to be performed and operation of all equipment.
• Demonstrates leadership with ability to fill in for crew leader in their absence with no supervision.
• Possession of Work Zone Traffic Control Certification.
