Later, you might oversee a contractor on a facility repair, run conduit for a capital equipment installation, or repair utilities, plumbing, HVAC, or shop electrical. You wrap up by conducting safety inspections, updating maintenance records, tidying your work area to 6S standards, and issuing a concise project status report.
How you’ll make an impact
Troubleshoot and repair CNC (numerically controlled) and conventional equipment across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical domains.
Minimize downtime through disciplined preventive maintenance and rapid, high‑quality corrective repairs.
Diagnose malfunctions, disassemble to inspect components, determine scope, estimate labor, procure or fabricate parts, test, and release equipment to production.
Perform PM tasks: inspect drives, motors, and belts; check fluid levels; replace filters and worn parts; clean and lubricate machinery.
Monitor safety standards and complete scheduled inspections for all machines.
Maintain and repair facility systems, including utilities, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and masonry.
Assist with installing capital equipment and electrical wiring systems safely, on time, and to spec.
Coordinate and supervise contracted work to ensure quality and compliance.
Implement and maintain electronic asset management and maintenance recordkeeping systems (CMMS).Prepare project plans and provide clear, timely status reports.
Perform painting, sheet metal work, and welding when needed.
Keep work areas clean and organized in accordance with 6S standards; perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications High School Diploma/GED and seven (7) years of experience repairing manufacturing equipment.
Proven expertise troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical machinery.
EMaint or similar maintenance work order/CMMS experience preferred.
Skills and attributes
Competent in welding, fabrication, equipment installation, and repairs.
Basic math and computer proficiency; able to learn quickly, solve problems, and make sound decisions using work instructions and documentation.
Clear communication and strong teamwork skills.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English.
Physical demands
Regularly: stand, walk, bend, lift, use hands to finger/handle/feel tools and controls, and reach with hands and arms.
Occasionally: sit, reach above shoulders, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk or hear, and taste or smell.
Lift and/or move objects up to 70 pounds.
Vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
