Ameritech Facility Services is an industry-leading provider of renovation and facility repair solutions for the restaurant and retail industries.

Ameritech Facility Services is seeking a full-time, experienced Technician/Handyman who is willing to travel and assist clients with commercial building repairs. Most locations are retail and restaurant customers who need help troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing construction-related issues.

The ability to build strong customer relationships is important. Candidates should have at least 5 years of commercial construction experience, with strong carpentry skills and a basic understanding of electrical, flooring, and plumbing.

Candidates must be able to pass a background check.

• Minor plumbing connections, including sink supply and drain lines
• Minor electrical connections, including disconnecting and reconnecting equipment
• Concrete repairs
• Stucco repairs
• Use of basic construction tools and ability to install or assemble materials by following instructions
• Ability to manage projects and complete assigned work
• Heavy lifting, standing, bending, and reaching
• Ability to work primarily during daytime hours, with occasional nights and weekends as needed
• Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and follow schedules and special instructions
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Maintaining a clean and professional appearance

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience, preferably in restaurant construction or maintenance
• Ability to travel regionally, approximately 50-75%
• Clean driving record and reliable personal transportation
• Own basic tools, including drills, saws, hammers, ladders, extension cords, shop vac, caulking gun, and similar equipment
• Specialty tools will be rented as needed, such as concrete saws and jackhammers
• Reliable cell phone
• Ability to scan documents, email photos, and use mobile applications
• Basic computer skills
• Willingness to learn additional construction and repair skills

Ameritech Facility Services provides services both in-state and out of state. Travel for work may be required, including interstate travel. Interstate assignments are distributed among qualified drivers when possible; however, all drivers are subject to assignment for out-of-state work.

This position requires the ability to perform physical construction and repair work, including lifting, standing, bending, reaching, climbing, and working with hand and power tools.
