Job Description

• Pay: $60,000 to $70,000 Annually
• Performance incentive – $450 per quarter with a $200 kicker. If all four quarters are earned, total incentive is $2,000.

  Sunday – Friday, 1–3 trips per day (dispatching between 2:30 pm and 12 am depending on load).
• 5 weeks of training in Temple, TX.

As a Shuttle Driver, you will play a vital role in operating our business by transporting empty trailers to the operating company warehouse locations and turning around to deliver full trailers to domicile or shuttle yard locations. The Shuttle Driver is responsible for driving a tandem trailer, tractor‑trailer, or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to transport empty trailers to warehouses, then delivering full trailers with various products to domicile or shuttle yard locations in a safe and timely manner in accordance with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).

You will communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co‑workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and promptly. You will function as a team member within the department and organization and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

• Perform all required safety checks (including pre‑and post‑trip inspections) of tractor, truck, and trailer according to DOT regulations; take appropriate action if equipment does not meet company safety standards.
• Report all safety issues and repairs required.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies; immediately report all safety hazards.
• Inspect trailer to ensure freight is properly loaded and secured.
• Ensure all required route paperwork is with the tractor‑trailer load and available to driver upon dispatch.
• Drive and deliver trailers according to predetermined route schedules.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines.
• Park and store tractor‑trailers in designated areas.
• Ensure all equipment and freight are appropriately locked and secured at all times.
• Collect and secure damaged goods and customer returns in empty trailer to bring back to driver check‑in at the base facility; complete necessary paperwork.
• Unload all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required.
• Complete daily record of hours of service and enter it in the log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 6–12 months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
• Work required during a 3rd‑shift schedule, Sunday–Thursday nights (schedules may vary).
• Pass pre‑employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure a new DOT Health Card.
• Able to hand‑lift and utilize a two‑wheeler, lift gate, or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight ranging from approximately 60 to 90 pounds, depending on the location.
