Position Title:

Quality Control Technician Shift: 2nd Shift

Wage Range: $24.45

Differential: none

Status:
Full Time

Responsible for supporting the QA department through product control, verification procedures, organization, compliance and inspection of finished goods.

• Online quality checks (dates, lots, labels, nutritional information, weights).
• Slice count verification checks (average slices per lb.)
• Finished product quality checks.
• CCP Direct Observations and documentation
• Metal Detector calibrations & documentation.
• Operational GMP & Sanitation Observations throughout entire plant.
• Supervision of proper equipment cleaning and sanitizing by maintenance.
• Check bellies at Bacon Press forproper temperature and feel of belly
• Lead and document leaker checks
• Verifying timeliness and accuracy of production documentation
• Check labels and dates of product in coolers and macros.
• Return product checks/releases.
• Verifying correct sanitation chemicals are being used & check titrations.
• Printing cool down charts for process control sheets.

• Ability to read, write, speak & understand English.
• Bilingual Spanish desired.
• One year of experience in QA/QC department in a manufacturing environment desired.
• HACCP & SQF training/certification desired.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  
  Ability to work under strict time constraints and meet deadlines in a timely & effective manner.
• Microsoft Office Experience required.
