* Job Summary:

** The role of the Day Lead is crucial for the seamless operation of the store, focusing on meticulous supervision of daily activities on the sales floor. This position entails a hands-on approach to managing floor staff, with a strong emphasis on fostering a team environment that is both efficient and motivated. The primary objective is to enhance the overall shopping experience for customers, ensuring that it is exceptional and consistently exceeds expectations.

By coordinating efforts, troubleshooting operational issues, and implementing strategies for continuous improvement, the Day Lead plays a crucial role in maintaining the store's reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction.
** Essential Functions of the Position:
*** Overseeing and assisting with inventory levels, ordering stock to ensure product availability, and managing stock rotation to minimize waste.
* Train and manage floor employees, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
* Ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction by addressing customer concerns, providing product information, and maintaining a customer-friendly environment.
* Coordinating the layout of the sales floor, organizing displays to maximize customer interest and sales, and ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met.
* Streamlining operations to enhance efficiency and productivity while reducing costs and improving the shopping experience.
* Oversee proper processing/disposal of damaged goods and hazardous waste in the backroom and sales floor.
* Address customer satisfaction issues and work with the Store Director/Combo or Grocery Manager to provide solutions to customer matters.
* Communicate all product needs/concerns with the store management team.
* Contact appropriate vendors and monitor work performed.
* Greet all customers and provide prompt and courteous service.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
