Position: Security Guard (Part Time - Sat/Sun)

Position Purpose

Under supervision of the security supervisor the security guard is responsible for protecting a person, organization, or asset in the case of an incident. Duties include monitoring a specific area, evicting trespassers, and writing reports detailing any occurrences during the shift. The overall duty is to protect the company’s property, employees, and visitors.

Functional Responsibility

This is a part‑time role. The shift and schedule for this role are Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, totaling 16 hours a week.

Essential Duties
  • Patrolling and monitoring activities on the company’s premises to discourage criminals and ensure a safe environment.
  • Evicting trespassers and violators, detaining perpetrators while following legal protocols.
  • Controlling the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles according to protocols.
  • Logging trucks in and out, sending them to their docks, and checking their seals on their way out.
  • Performing a 7‑point inspection on trucks.
  • Monitoring surveillance cameras for any disruptions or unlawful activities.
  • Providing detailed reports to management on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred.
  • Using provided communication devices such as two‑way radios clearly and concisely.
  • Calling police or fire departments in case of emergency, such as a fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
  • Performing CPR or first aid when needed.
Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Prior experience as a security guard.
  • 18 years of age or older.
Certificates and Licenses
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Valid Security Guard card.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Remain calm and rational in emergencies.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
Working Conditions
  • General office and winery working conditions.
  • Required to drive an automatic vehicle or equipment frequently.
  • Indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to the elements and temperature variations.
  • Exposure to weather‑related temperature and humidity extremes.
  • Extended hours and shift rotation.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Exposure to dust, chemicals, fumes, gases, and noisy equipment.
  • Occasionally may be required to lift and carry cases of wine.

This is a Non‑Exempt position. The pay range for this position is $16.50 to $25.70. Placement within the range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, education, experience, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
