Second Harvest of the Greater Valley (SHGV) is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Coordinator to support the day-to-day management of our warehouse inventory. This full-time position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, processing inventory transactions, coordinating receiving documentation, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring inventory information is complete, timely, and audit-ready.
The Inventory Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting warehouse operations by maintaining inventory accuracy from the time food is received until it is distributed to our community. This position works closely with Warehouse Operations, Food Acquisition, Programs, Finance, and other departments to ensure efficient product movement while supporting regulatory compliance and organizational accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized inventory management systems.
Process receiving documentation and inventory transactions.
Conduct routine cycle counts and assist with physical inventories.
Monitor inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain organized inventory documentation and records.
Support inventory compliance, audits, and product traceability.
Collaborate with warehouse and operations staff to support efficient food distribution.
Provide backup operational support to other Operations functions as assigned.

Required High school diploma or equivalent.
Two (2) or more years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, or a related field.
Experience using computerized inventory management systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Valid California Driver License with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment.
Preferred Experience using CERES, Meal Connect, Agency Express, or similar inventory management systems.
Experience in a food bank, warehouse, distribution center, or nonprofit environment.
Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
