Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our Kindergarten team. The ideal candidate will create a supportive and engaging classroom environment that fosters academic growth, social-emotional development, and a love of learning. This role involves planning and delivering instruction aligned with curriculum standards, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues, families, and staff to support student success.
Qualifications/Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Valid state teaching certification for elementary education (K–5)
- Demonstrated knowledge of child development and instructional best practices
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning tools
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment
- Prior teaching or student teaching experience in an elementary setting preferred
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons across core subject areas
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction accordingly
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs
- Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, and support staff
- Coordinate with special education staff and co-teachers, as needed, to support diverse learners
- Implement classroom management strategies that promote respect and responsibility
- Participate in professional development opportunities and school activities
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with district policies and procedures
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality of student, family, and staff information
- Work collaboratively with co-workers and school staff
- Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral growth
- Uphold school policies, procedures, and educational standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by Administration
- Salary and benefits will be based on the negotiated MEA Contract
- Extracurricular positions may be available
