Maintenance Technician
Our business is growing, and we’re hiring Maintenance Technicians who take pride in making improvements, staying ahead of issues, and keeping equipment running safely and reliably. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and condition-based checks to minimize downtime and support daily production.
What You’ll Do- Complete preventive maintenance (PM) and basic repairs on production and packaging equipment to defined standards.
- Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues; elevate when needed.
- Perform basic condition‑based checks (temperatures, pressures, visual inspections) and report abnormal trends.
- Execute basic precision maintenance (torque to spec, correct lubrication, belt/chain tensioning).
- Use CMMS to open/complete/close work orders, enter failure codes, and record parts and labor.
- Follow GMP/HACCP/SQF requirements; protect product, prevent allergen cross‑contact, and support pre‑op checks.
- Work safely at all times with LOTO, PPE, and pre‑task risk assessments; maintain clean, organized work areas.
- Communicate status, parts needs, and risks to supervision and production; support solid shift handoffs.
- Other duties as assigned by management
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (food/beverage/CPG preferred).
- Mechanical and/or basic electrical aptitude; able to read prints and manuals.
- Experience with hand/power tools and basic diagnostic equipment (multimeter, gauges).
- CMMS experience (opening/closing WOs, failure codes, parts issues).
- GMP/food safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices.
- Trade school or technical coursework in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field.
- Exposure to CBM/PdM tools (IR camera, vibration pen, ultrasound), and basic PLC fault‑finding.
- Experience with CIP/COP areas, sanitary equipment, compressed air, steam, or refrigeration.
- OSHA‑10, forklift/aerial lift certification, welding/fabrication basics.
