Supply Team Lead

Gotion Illinois is seeking an experienced Supply Team Lead to oversee material flow operations supporting lithium-ion battery manufacturing. This position is responsible for leading a team of 10-15 employees while ensuring raw materials, components, and production supplies are delivered accurately and on time to support manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership experience within the EV battery, lithium battery, battery cell manufacturing, battery pack assembly, battery materials, or energy storage industry. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining production continuity by managing inventory availability, material movement, line-side replenishment, and supply chain execution.

Candidates without direct battery, EV, or energy storage manufacturing experience will not be considered.

Key responsibilities include leading daily supply operations supporting battery manufacturing production lines, supervising, coaching, and developing a team of 10-15 supply chain and material handling employees, ensuring timely delivery of raw materials, components, and production supplies to manufacturing areas, monitoring inventory levels and proactively addressing potential material shortages, coordinating material replenishment activities to support uninterrupted production operations, partnering closely with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Logistics, Quality, and Procurement teams to ensure material availability, supporting production scheduling requirements through effective material planning and execution, overseeing inventory accuracy through cycle counting, audits, and reconciliation activities, analyzing material flow processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste, monitoring KPIs related to material availability, inventory accuracy, productivity, and operational performance, supporting ERP transactions, inventory movements, and material tracking activities, driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on supply chain efficiency and operational excellence, and ensuring compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and company operating procedures.

Required qualifications include 3+ years of leadership experience within supply chain, material operations, production support, or inventory management, experience leading teams of 10 or more employees, minimum 3 years of experience within one or more of the following industries: EV Battery Manufacturing, Lithium-Ion Battery Manufacturing, Battery Materials Manufacturing, Battery Cell Manufacturing, Battery Pack Assembly, Energy Storage Systems (ESS), strong understanding of Material Planning, Material Flow Management, Inventory Control, Production Support Operations, Supply Chain Execution, Cycle Counting, ERP Systems, Line-Side Replenishment, experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations, and strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Preferred qualifications include experience with SAP, SAP EWM, Oracle, or other ERP platforms, knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies, experience within startup manufacturing or greenfield facility environments, and experience supporting battery gigafactory operations.
