Quality Inspector - Third Shift

Gotion Inc. is based in Silicon Valley, CA, currently building a Manufacturing facility in Manteno, IL and has R&D centers in Ohio, China, Japan and Europe. We innovate in the next generation electric vehicle and energy storage technologies (lithium batteries and related systems) with the aim to accelerate electrified transportation and achieve sustainable development. Gotion is powered by a leading power battery technology company that provides solutions for vehicles including the world's first mass commercial e‑bus route.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Quality Inspector to join our team on the First Shift. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that all manufactured products meet strict quality standards and comply with industry regulations. Your keen eye for detail, combined with your expertise in quality systems and measurement tools, will help maintain our commitment to excellence. • Perform thorough inspections of products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems to verify conformance to specifications.
• Utilize advanced quality management tools like Calypso and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to gather accurate data during inspections.
• Conduct quality audits in accordance with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and FDA regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Document inspection results meticulously, including data collection and analysis, to support quality assurance initiatives.
• Identify non-conformances and collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement corrective actions aligned with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) and HACCP protocols.
• Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to improve product quality and process efficiency.
• Support internal and external quality audits by providing detailed reports and maintaining comprehensive records of inspection activities.

• Proven experience in manufacturing quality control or inspection roles within regulated industries such as medical devices or food production.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems including ISO 9001, ISO 13485, HACCP, FDA regulations, and CGMP standards.
• Hands‑on experience operating precision measurement instruments like calipers, micrometers, vision inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
• Familiarity with quality management software such as Calypso is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data accurately, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with strong communication skills for clear documentation and reporting.

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package at Gotion, and is determined within a range. This provides you with the opportunity to progress as you grow and advance your career at Gotion.
