Gotion Inc. is based in Silicon Valley, CA, currently building a Manufacturing facility in Manteno, IL and has R&D centers in Ohio, China, Japan and Europe. We innovate in the next generation electric vehicle and energy storage technologies (lithium batteries and related systems) with the aim to accelerate electrified transportation and achieve sustainable development. Gotion is powered by a leading power battery technology company that provides solutions for vehicles including the world's first mass commercial e-bus route.

Job Summary:

The Production Quality Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of the output of our manufacturing process. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control plans, conducting supplier audits, and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to identify and resolve quality issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality control plans for operators, including inspection procedures, acceptance criteria, and corrective action plans.
  • Conduct audits of operator facilities and quality systems to assess their capabilities and compliance with Gotion's standards.
  • Analyze quality data and identify trends to proactively address potential issues.
  • Work with suppliers to develop and implement corrective actions for identified quality problems.
  • Maintain clear and concise documentation of all quality activities, including audits, reports, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as manufacturing, engineering, and procurement, to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a production quality engineering role.
  • Experience with conducting supplier audits and developing quality control plans.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with quality management software a plus.
