Allied Water Services is seeking a dependable, hardworking Construction Laborer to join our growing team. This position supports our excavation crews by performing manual labor, assisting equipment operators, preparing job sites, installing materials, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment. - Assist with excavation, sewer, septic, utility, foundation, and waterproofing projects.
- Dig trenches and perform hand excavation when machinery cannot be used.
- Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment.
- Install pipe, fittings, and other underground utilities under the direction of the Foreman.
- Backfill, compact, grade, and restore work areas.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Work safely around heavy equipment and follow all company safety procedures.
- Protect customers' lawns, driveways, sidewalks, landscaping, and other property throughout each project.
- Assist with traffic control, site preparation, and cleanup.
- Report safety concerns, damaged equipment, or project issues to the Foreman.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the crew.
- Construction, landscaping, excavation, or general labor experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
- Willingness to learn excavation, utility installation, and construction techniques.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to work overtime and occasional Saturdays when needed.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to be part of a team.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Safety-focused with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to follow directions and work independently when needed.
- Motivated to learn and grow within the company.
- Takes pride in quality workmanship and respecting customer property.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Regular bending, kneeling, digging, lifting, climbing, and walking on uneven terrain.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions year-round.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
