Full Time, Tenure Track position
The Manville School District is seeking a caring, dedicated, and certified teacher for an Elementary Health & PETeacher. The position is shared across Weston & Roosevelt Elementary schools.
Responsibilities:- Teach health and physical education classes to K-4 students
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Comprehensive Health and Physical Education
- Ensure student safety during all physical activities
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate health and PE concepts
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Health Education, or related field
- Valid New Jersey teaching certification in Health and Physical Education
- Experience teaching elementary-level health and PE preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Familiarity with technology integration in PE/Health curriculum
Salary is in accordance with the Manville Education Association. The annual salary range is commensurate with education level and years of experience, starting at $66,705 (minimum) to $95,850 (maximum) for the school year.
