Full Time, Tenure Track position
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and energetic
High School Multiple Disabilities (MD) Teacher to lead our self-contained classroom. In this role, you will support high school students with complex cognitive, physical, sensory, and behavioral needs. You will foster an inclusive, supportive environment focused on functional academics, life skills, communication, and post-secondary transition planning.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individual and group instruction aligned with modified state standards, with a focus on functional academics, daily living skills, and adaptive behavior.
- Write, track, and implement comprehensive Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), facilitate annual review meetings, and measure student progress toward goals.
- Implement sensory integration strategies in collaboration with support from the BCBA.
- Direct, train, and supervise classroom paraprofessionals to maintain a safe, coordinated learning environment.
- Partner closely with Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), Physical Therapists (PTs), and transition coordinators.
- Guide students through post-secondary preparation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Teacher of the Handicapped
- Teaching experience preferred
- Ability to incorporate technology into instruction
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Salary in accordance with the Manville Education Association. The annual salary range is commensurate with education level and years of experience, starting at $66,705 (minimum) to $95,850 (maximum).
