Residential HVAC Service Tech

Air Experts is seeking a Residential HVAC Service Tech to support comfort and safety in homes serving the South San Francisco biotech community. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain residential heating and cooling systems, perform preventive maintenance, and complete new equipment startups. You'll use modern diagnostic tools, follow strict safety and environmental standards, and document all work in digital platforms.

Partner with a collaborative, innovation-driven team while educating homeowners on system performance, energy efficiency, and proper care of their equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, heat pumps, and air conditioners
• Perform preventive maintenance, tune-ups, and safety inspections
• Install and commission HVAC components and controls to manufacturer specifications
• Calibrate, test, and document system performance and efficiency
• Use digital tools to track work orders, parts, and service documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry regulations
• Educate homeowners on system operation, maintenance, and energy efficiency
• Collaborate with dispatch and support teams to optimize schedules and response times
• Maintain clean, organized work spaces and company vehicles
• Support continuous improvement and adoption of new HVAC technologies
