PositionSummary
The Commodity Manager will lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for key commodities within a fast‑paced, high‑growth manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for developing sourcing strategies, vendor selection, negotiating contracts, and ensuring supply continuity to support aggressive production and growth targets.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute commodity strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage the entire supplier contract life cycle—drafting, negotiating, implementation and adherence.
- Lead supplier negotiations related to contracts, pricing, inventory levels, and other key commercial terms to optimize cost and supply continuity.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to support new product introductions and design changes.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives, VAVE efforts and supplier performance improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of supplier contracts, pricing, and performance metrics.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Preferably in Supply Chain/Operations/Engineering)
- 7+ years in a strategic sourcing role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of procurement, sourcing, and commodity management principles
- Proven ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with business objectives and cost targets.
- Contract Negotiation experience (MSA, MOU, Inventory, Commodity, Currency, etc.)
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- CPSM / APICS / CSCP / Lean Six Sigma
- Strong negotiation and influencing ability.
- Deep knowledge of supplier contracts and appropriate terms.
- Supplier relationship management and performance improvement ability.
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong analytical skills to interpret data and drive informed decisions.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with diverse cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high‑growth environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Autonomous mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
