What You'll Do

Pelican is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material flow operations. In this role, you’ll drive performance, develop teams, and ensure customer commitments are met with accuracy, efficiency, and speed. You’ll oversee daily warehouse execution, optimize processes, and champion safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all shifts.

  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, team leads, and warehouse associates to consistently meet shipping, receiving, and inventory goals
  • Execute daily shipping schedules and capacity plans, assigning resources and resolving operational issues in real time
  • Own inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Ensure products ship accurately, on time, and to the correct destination
  • Manage carrier performance, transportation costs, and claims related to damaged shipments
  • Supply production with required materials to maintain assembly line continuity
  • Establish labor performance standards and track KPIs to drive daily improvement
  • Investigate and resolve employee and operational issues using data-driven decisions
  • Improve processes, systems, and procedures to increase productivity and reduce cost
  • Support SAP system usage improvements and operational system enhancements
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with ISO, QMS, OSHA, and company standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
  • Education:

    bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience necessary to be successful in this position.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehouse, shipping & receiving management within a manufacturing company.
  • Strong people skills as a team leader, coach, and a team player.
  • Knowledge of national and international shipments;
    Customs requirements.
  • Operating a warehouse across multiple shifts, running or managing daily cycle counts.
  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely, creative manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and leadership.
  • Ability to quickly learn technology and improve use of technology to improve productivity and quality.
  • Must be proficient in SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of ISO guidelines, OSHA and other EH&S related standards.
