Position: Manager / Director of Membership

ABOUT US

Conrad, Inc. is an established cybersecurity consulting firm providing threat intelligence that helps protect the critical infrastructure underpinning the global economy. At the intersection of cybersecurity and operations, our insights inform the decisions of government and industry leaders.

We manage the daily operations and intelligence functions for the IT-ISAC and the Food and Ag-ISAC. Information Sharing and Analysis Centers (ISACs) are sector‑specific membership organizations that provide a trusted environment for member companies to share sensitive threat intelligence and collaborate to strengthen sector security. We’re expanding the team that supports this work.

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Director of Membership to own the entire lifecycle of membership growth, retention, and engagement for our clients. You’ll reimagine how we prospect, how we welcome new members, how we keep them engaged, and how we make sure every single organization in our community actually feels the value of being here.

This role is looking for someone who can think strategically about member value, build relationships with security leaders and industry stakeholders, and execute tactically across CRM systems, outreach campaigns, and engagement programming while working with other members of the team to ensure continuity.

You’re the kind of person who remembers (or reads) that a member mentioned their CISO was switching roles and reaches out before anyone asks you to. You get genuinely excited about connecting the right people to the right resources, and you treat a lapsed renewal like a puzzle worth solving, not a line item to write off.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Member Prospecting and Development
    • Identify and qualify prospective member organizations in coordination with leadership and partner relationships.
    • Work with our Marketing and Membership Coordinator to develop and manage an active prospect pipeline using Zoom Info and Hub Spot CRM; track outreach, follow‑up cadences, and conversion milestones.
    • Sharpen our targeting criteria based on sector priorities, threat landscape trends, and organizational fit.
  • Onboarding and New Member Integration
    • Own the end‑to‑end onboarding experience for new members, ensuring a smooth transition from signed agreement to active participation.
    • In conjunction with the Marketing and Membership Coordinator, develop and maintain onboarding materials, welcome communications, and orientation programming tailored to each ISAC’s community and resources.
    • Understand new member organizations’ business and goals well enough to recommend and connect them with relevant special interest groups (SIGs) and benefits.
  • Member Engagement and Retention
    • Conduct regular outreach and proactive check‑ins with all members. Becoming their trusted point of contact for all things membership.
    • Track engagement metrics across the membership base to help identify at‑risk members or unused benefits to proactively reach out and engage.
    • Refresh, reimagine, and execute member engagement strategies to increase active participation and utilization of benefits.
    • Partner with staff across departments to ensure members are informed about and connected to relevant benefits and reports.
    • Manage the membership renewal processes that are on a rolling basis, including early outreach, renewal communications, and escalation pathways for at‑risk accounts or those that may need a little additional love.
    • Gather and synthesize member feedback to inform program development, communications, areas for improvement, and overall strategy.
  • Program Support and Miscellaneous
    • Develop, maintain, and implement an annual calendar of Membership‑related operational processes to ensure timely and consistent execution.
    • Support the administration of partner programs for both ISACs (e.g., Defenders Partner Program, Industry Association Partner Program)
    • Produce regular membership reporting for the Board and leadership, including pipeline status, engagement metrics, renewal forecasts, and other membership trends.
    • Maintain data integrity across Hub Spot CRM and other internal platforms or tools used for outreach.
    • As needed, provide content for newsletters, social media, and…
