PositionSummary
Responsible for developing processes in conjunction with Product Development and other technical staff. Capable of identifying and resolving process issues related to machinery, material and specifications. Being able to execute (under engineering supervision) validations/ qualifications of processes and machinery. Capable of creating basic drawings and interfacing with machines shops to produce tooling/fixtures needed on the production floor.
Principal Responsibilities- Design, coordinate and execute building prototypes and product per engineering instructions with minimal supervision.
- Assist with Qualifications and Validations of new and existing processes, including preparing plans and reports. Recommend solutions based on observations or analysis. Help to successfully transfer new products to Production.
- Capable of developing processes and equipment to meet customer specifications.
- Able to troubleshoot processes and provide solutions for improvement.
- Create fixtures for building and testing components and assembled products.
- Provide input for equipment and process specifications.
- Capable of performing equipment installation/qualification, including preparing the plans and reports
- Work with external vendors to assist engineering teams to obtain materials and equipment needed for product development.
- Record/maintain/communicate test results, lab notebooks and more detailed reports.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Keeps work area clean of debris.
- Understand and support implementation of 5 S disciplines.
- Maintain the professional competence, knowledge, and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
- Work with minimal supervision and act independently.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience Requirements- High School Diploma or GED required and 2 years of Vo-tech or equivalent experience preferred.
- 2 years of experience in developing processes in a medical device setting, catheters manufacturing and/or clean room preferred.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and processes.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- English communication skills must be good in verbal and written communications.
- Ability to read and interpret blue prints.
- Capable of running machine shop tools (drill, mill, lathe, grinder) to make simple fixtures.
- Proficient with Windows applications:
Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
