Job Overview
Fairview Health Services is seeking an Obstetrics and Gynecology physician to join the multi‑specialty practice at M Health Fairview Clinics and Surgery Center – Maple Grove. Join a group of physicians interested in staying on the cutting edge of their field and participating in quality improvement committees.
Practice Details- Join a team of 8 physicians, 2 APRNs and 2 physician assistants
- Surgical cases and deliveries performed at Maple Grove Hospital; surgeries are also performed at the CSC‑Maple Grove site
- Admitting hospital:
Maple Grove Hospital - Average of 100 deliveries annually per physician
- Average of 20‑24 patients per day in clinic
- Full time (1.0 FTE)
- Schedule:
4‑day clinical work week – includes clinic, surgery, and on‑call time - Physicians expected to see clinic patients at the Maple Grove Clinic and one additional Fairview community clinic nearby
- Call Coverage: 1:8 shared equally. Maple Grove Hospital is staffed 24/7 by an employed OB Hospitalist program
- Established referral base of Fairview employed primary‑care and subspecialty physicians
- Provides general patient care involving subjective and objective evaluation, assessment and formulation of a plan of care
- Prescribes or administers treatment as determined by the plan of care
- Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical problems and health care needs
- Consults with and makes appropriate referrals to other health care providers in abnormal or unusual cases, referring within the Fairview network
- Maintains the electronic medical record in accordance with Fairview standards and licensure scope
- Recognizes and appropriately responds to medical emergencies
- Serves as a patient advocate by maintaining confidentiality, protecting patient rights, communicating in a timely manner and resolving concerns or complaints regarding care and service
- Assists in the development of new policies, programs, procedures or techniques
- Participates in research, educational or other special projects or programs as needed
- Dedicates majority of time to providing quality patient care and service; participates equitably in responsibilities of patient care in the designated department
- May provide work direction to medical support and nursing staff in the designated work unit
- Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management
- Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes or workflows
- Demonstrates knowledge of age‑related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients

Required Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible with the ABMS
- Licensed or ability to obtain a Minnesota Board of Medical Practice license
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
- Meet threshold criteria/qualification for credentialing and privileges

Compensation DisclaimerThe actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Positions with the same min/max are flat rate jobs based on 40 hours per week. Compensation plans based on production can allow for higher pay than the range posted.
