Substitute School Nurse

Overview

Visitation School is seeking Substitute School Nurse candidates who are available as needed during school hours.

Visitation is an independent Catholic day school with a culture permeated by Salesian Spirituality. We offer a unique combination of learning experiences with a co-ed Lower School (Montessori preschool through grade
5), an all-girls Middle School (grades 6-8), and an all-girls Upper School (grades 9-12). A member of NAIS and accredited by ISACS, we are located on a beautiful 60-acre campus in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. • Registered Nurse (RN);
  Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN);
  Licensed School Nurse (LSN) preferred
• Minimum of 3-5 years clinical experience.
• CPR/AED Current Certification.
• Working knowledge of the principles, practices, and ethical standards of Nursing; relevant state and federal laws, rules, and regulations; and applicable district policies and procedures.
• Ability to deal effectively, appropriately and confidentially with students, parents, and other educational professionals regarding student health concerns and problems.
• Understands the need to maintain confidentiality with students, parents, faculty and staff.
• Knowledge of current health care issues, concerns and trends.
• Computer experience with data entry skills helpful.
• Interest in working with children/families.
• Previous experience working in a school preferred.
