General Purpose of Job: To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with the confidence, courage, and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning.
The goal of ESY services is to help students maintain their current level of functioning. ESY service providers will address areas of need through using instructional materials provided by service providers who work with the student during the course of the regular school year.
The Extended School Year (ESY) program will be held on the following dates:
June 30 – July 23, 2026, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings. A required ESY orientation meeting will be held June 29th, on-site at 8am, set up and prep time will also be available. Class sessions will last for two and a half hours. Licensed providers will be given 45 minutes of prep time before and 45 minutes after each class session.
Responsibilities: Position provides speech and language services and support in the areas for which employed; make appropriate use of instructional resources and technologies. Implement the goals and objectives of the district and the school and/or program for which employed. Maintain contact and communications with parents of students and work with them in the development of each student. The instructor will design, deliver and assess curriculum according to the district guidelines.
The teacher must be willing to participate in building leadership activities and be a team player.
Required Qualifications: Valid Minnesota license in appropriate field.
