Key

Qualifications:

• Must be highly qualified as a paraprofessional in Minnesota:
  • Option 1:
    Successful completion of the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (provide proof of passing the MN Para Educator Exam)
  • OR
  • Option 2:
    Minimum of 60 college credits-with transcripts (not just diplomas) submitted
• Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
• Flexibility to support students in elementary, middle, or high school environments
• Collaborative, compassionate, and committed to student success
• Ability to adapt to varying student needs and assignments

Responsibilities:

• Support teachers and school staff in creating positive learning experiences for students with diverse needs
• Assist in daily classroom activities, small group instruction, and one-on-one interventions
• Adapt strategies to help students reach their academic and social goals
• Maintain a safe, structured setting in alignment with classroom procedures
• Communicate effectively with staff regarding student progress and needs
