Job Summary: To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with the confidence, courage, and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning. Provide classroom instruction in multiple classrooms; make appropriate and equitable use of instructional resources and technologies; implement the goals and objectives of the district and the school and/or program for which employed;

maintain contact and communication with teachers, staff, school, district leaders, and guardians/caregivers; deliver and assess curriculum according to district guidelines; follow system policies and regulations concerning scholar conduct and discipline; work collaboratively with others. Willing to participate in district, building, and department leadership activities. This continuous substitute position will be at Rush Creek Elementary School, with the possibility to be moved to another site if no substitute positions are open at Rush Creek that day.

Please note that your assigned building may change through the year based on system needs.

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Tier 3 or 4 Minnesota teaching license. K-6 Elementary Education license is preferred.
• If not currently licensed, must be willing and eligible to apply for and receive at least a Tier 2 license.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Salary: $37.00 hourly (Schedule D rate of pay)

Minimum contract day (see Continuous Substitute MOU). Desired start date:
August 31, 2026.

Temporary assignment: This position will end on June 10, 2027 (last day of school for students).
