Job Summary: To inspire and prepare each scholar with confidence, courage, and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; engage in a lifetime of learning. Provide classroom instruction across multiple classrooms; appropriately use instructional resources and technologies; implement district and school goals; maintain communication with teachers, staff, leaders, and guardians; deliver and assess curriculum per district guidelines; follow system policies on conduct and discipline;
work collaboratively and participate in leadership activities. This continuous substitute position will be at Basswood Elementary School with possibility of relocation to another site if no positions are open at Basswood on a given day. Your assigned building may change throughout the year based on system needs.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Tier 3 or 4 Minnesota teaching license; K‑6 Elementary Education licensure preferred.
- If not currently licensed, must be willing and eligible to apply for and receive at least a Tier 2 license.
Salary: $37.00 hourly (Schedule D rate of pay)
Bargaining Unit: Teachers – Education Minnesota Osseo
Work Schedule: Minimum contract day as per Continuous Substitute MOU.
Desired start date: August 31, 2026
Assignment Length: Temporary assignment ending June 10, 2027 (last day of school for students).
