Description:

The Site Supervisor plays a crucial role in providing leadership and support within the Community Education department. Responsible for overseeing program operations at a location, staff management, and addressing the needs of students, parents/guardians, and staff. The Site Supervisor ensures the delivery of high-quality educational services. This position involves strategic planning, performance leadership, program content development, professionalism, and other related duties.

• Align program operations with the district's mission, vision, and core values.
• Serve as a leader in department and district initiatives, committees, trainings, and strategic planning efforts.
• Develop and communicate a shared vision for the site and program staff.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement new processes and initiatives.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for families and staff, providing timely communication while maintaining confidentiality.
• Foster strong relationships with scholars, families, school staff, and community partners.

• Provide direct supervision, coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to site staff.
• Participate in hiring and staffing decisions in collaboration with the Program Manager.
• Conduct performance evaluations, support goal setting, and guide professional growth for employees.
• Delegate responsibilities, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with program expectations and safety requirements.
• Approve timecards and employee absences and provide training on timekeeping procedures.
• Maintain required personnel and student records and collaborate with Human Resources as needed.
• Manage program resources, supplies, and inventory effectively and responsibly.
• Support staff in creating engaging environments that promote learning, participation, and positive youth development.

• Collaborate with Lead Instructors to ensure high-quality, developmentally appropriate programming.
• Provide support and accommodations for scholars with diverse needs and maintain communication with families and schools.
• Conduct regular staff meetings, huddles, coaching sessions, and on-the-job training.
• Assist in maintaining staff-to-student ratios and provide direct program support when needed.
• Support the planning and implementation of school-year and summer enrichment programs.
• Monitor lessons and activities to ensure meaningful, engaging, and age-appropriate experiences.
• Coordinate field trips, including logistics, transportation, itineraries, and safety expectations.
• Promote inclusive practices and ensure all scholars have access to enriching learning opportunities.

• Make sound decisions regarding site operations, staffing, and family or student needs.
• Foster a positive culture focused on growth, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Act as a liaison between program sites and district leadership to ensure consistency across programs.
• Engage families, school staff, and community members to strengthen program effectiveness.
• Participate in professional development, department meetings, and leadership activities.
• Demonstrate adaptability, reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to high-quality service.

• Support additional Community Education and Youth Enrichment programs as needed.
• Participate in district committees, special initiatives, and training opportunities.
• Perform other duties of a comparable nature as assigned.

• Associate's degree required;
  Bachelor's degree preferred in education or related field.
• Align with Minn. Stat. 245H.08, subd.
  2. with at least one-year previous experience in childcare recreation, education, or youth development.

• Considerable knowledge of instructional methods, racial equity, and multicultural curriculum concepts.
• Preferred knowledge of computer applications such as GSuite (google drive, sheets) Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook), ARUX.
• Familiarity with various instructional methods, best practices, and strategies.
