Anticipated starting hourly wage: $26.40 to $32.25 per hour DOE. Compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, etc. This position will remain posted until it is folded.
Job TitleCivil Engineering Technician / Designer – Maple Grove or Woodbury, MN
Responsibilities- Use established CADD standards to prepare electronic drawings from marked‑up plans and/or verbal instruction by engineers/designers.
- Perform design drafting of water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and various other facilities.
- Organize and schedule work to accomplish goals on projects within established budgets and timelines.
- Coordinate with engineers and other design team members.
- Complete drawing reviews as needed.
- Organize and maintain project files.
- Associates degree in Computer Aided Design and Drafting or related field.
- 3+ years drafting experience. quando
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work occasional overtime.
- All applicants must be able to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records research, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
- Proficient in Civil3D.
- Autodesk Docs experience.
- Civil Site Design experience.
- Site Grading Modeling experience.
- Underground Infrastructure Design experience.
- Ability to multi‑task and effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to walk up to 3 miles on uneven terrain.
- Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight.
- May require lifting and carrying up to swal 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
- May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to flame‑resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear.
- May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload.
- May be required to travel to off‑site locations, including occasional overnight stays out of town.
