Senior R&D Engineer

Overview

Seeking an R&D Engineer for a full time opportunity supporting medical device product development from concept through commercialization. The role includes hands-on prototyping, testing, and cross-functional collaboration to bring innovative products to market.

• Design and develop new devices and product improvements in compliance with design controls
• Lead or support cross-functional teams from concept to launch
• Build and evaluate prototypes to assess feasibility
• Translate user needs into validated product requirements and test methods
• Develop test fixtures and robust verification protocols
• Communicate progress and technical updates across departments
• Work with physicians, suppliers, and regulatory teams
• Author technical reports and support V&V and design transfer activities
• Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent work experience (5+ years with degree or 8+ without)
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Experience with Solid Works, lab equipment, and statistical methods
• Familiarity with design controls, medical device standards, and quality systems
• Hands-on knowledge of materials and processes such as molding, bonding, and catheter fabrication
