Senior R & D Engineer

Overview

Advantage Technical is hiring an experienced R&D Engineer for a high-visibility medical device engineering role. If you thrive in new product development, enjoy ownership of complex engineering deliverables, and want to see your work drive real-world healthcare outcomes, this is your opportunity.

Pay Rate: $69/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00am-4:30pm

Work Model: Hybrid (onsite + remote)

• Design and develop catheter-based medical devices using CAD and detailed print packages
• Create and manage design control documentation including specifications, DFMEAs, tolerance analysis, GD&T, BOMs, and material assessments
• Support and guide product and technology teams through regulated design processes
• Drive PDP/TPD deliverables aligned with ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and FDA Quality System Regulations
• Coach peers on high-quality engineering documentation and best practices
• Evaluate alternative designs, processes, and materials for feasibility and risk

• Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in medical device R&D, design assurance, or regulated product development
• Strong expertise in design controls, risk management, and technical documentation
• Experience with 510(k) submissions and catheter or delivery systems preferred

The base pay range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to offer for this role. Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, and performance.
