This role follows an on-site work model and requires employees to be present at a Boston Scientific facility during working hours. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

Your responsibilities will include
  • Maintain knowledge of technologies and relevant scientific literature within the functional area.
  • Support testing of new technologies and research targets within the functional area.
  • Generate data to support posters, presentations, and internal technical documentation.
  • Utilize knowledge of legal boundaries related to information sharing and documentation; contribute to intellectual property brainstorming as appropriate.
  • Develop an understanding of experiments, protocols, and design processes, including design of experiments (DOE); execute work under direction while independently completing routine tasks within the functional area.
  • Apply basic data analysis techniques; develop understanding of more complex analyses; identify basic data issues and compare results with historical data.
  • Summarize results, contribute to technical reports, and complete experimental paperwork and laboratory notebook documentation.
  • Develop methods and processes under the direction of senior technical staff.
  • Participate as an extended team member in experimental execution.
  • Perform assigned routine experimental techniques and processes according to functional area requirements.
  • Order supplies and submit sample requests as directed and in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and generate and execute equipment IQ/OQ as needed.
  • Adhere to all environmental health and safety procedures and general housekeeping standard operating procedures.
  • Comply with site- and department-specific procedures related to record keeping, logbooks, materials receiving, and inventory control.
  • Complete time records and report project-allocated time accurately.
  • Participate in implementing solutions for laboratory or infrastructure improvements as needed.
Quality system requirements
  • Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance with the Quality Policy and all documented quality processes and procedures.
  • For individuals who supervise others, ensure appropriate resources are maintained to support Quality System compliance and adherence to the Boston Scientific Quality Policy.
  • Establish and promote a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
Qualifications Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related engineering field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the medical device industry.
  • Self-motivated with a strong passion for problem solving.
  • Hands-on approach to method development.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
