Mechanical Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Designer to join our team. This role requires a creative and technically skilled individual with a work history in CAD/drafting and experience in medical device design. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of designing injection molded parts and the ability to ideate, sketch, model components, and create prototypes.

Responsibilities

+ Design and develop mechanical and electrical components using Solid Works.

+ Create and modify injection molded parts, ensuring the design of at least 10 parts, with a preference for over 50.

+ Collaborate with engineers and technicians to communicate concepts, ideas, and sketches.

+ Integrate electrical and mechanical components in product designs.

+ Design fixtures for test methods, lab equipment, and production/manufacturing processes.

+ Participate in the development of capital electrical and mechanical systems such as infusion pumps, CT, MRI, X-Ray, ventilators, dialysis, and surgical equipment.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in product design, specifically in capital electrical and mechanical systems.

+ Solid Works proficiency, including PDM experience.

+ Strong aptitude in both electrical and mechanical design.

+

Experience with injection mold design.

+ Ability to create detailed drawings and prototypes.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ CAD/drafting degree from a 2-year technical college.

+

Experience with Grand Avenue Software.

+ Familiarity with master reference geometry linking to multiple child parts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maple Grove, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $51.00/hr.
