We're looking for a R&D Engineer to lead the design and development of heart valve technologies. This role is highly technical and hands-on, focused on valve design, testing, and product development within a regulated medical device environment. You'll work cross-functionally to bring new valve technologies from concept through validation and toward commercialization.
What You'll Do:
+ Lead design and development of transcatheter heart valve technologies
+ Plan and execute bench testing, hydrodynamic testing, and preclinical evaluations
+ Develop and validate test methods, fixtures, and evaluation protocols
+ Solve complex engineering challenges through root cause analysis and data-driven decisions
+ Support verification & validation activities for regulatory submissions
+ Partner with Manufacturing on technology transfer and scale-up
+ Collaborate with Regulatory and Quality to ensure compliance and product readiness
+ Present technical findings and influence design decisions
What You'll Bring:
Must-Haves
+ 3+ years of R&D/product development experience (3+ in medical devices)
+ Experience designing and testing complex medical or implantable devices
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead technical work streams
+ Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and data analysis
+ Bachelor's in Mechanical, Biomedical, or related field (advanced degree a plus)
Nice-to-Haves
+ Experience in structural heart, TMVR/TAVR, or valve development
+ Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, biomechanics, and materials
+
Experience with design controls, V&V, and regulatory submissions
+ Familiarity with CAD (Solid Works), FEA, and analytical tools (Minitab)

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Maple Grove, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
