The Manufacturing Engineer II at Jabil, Inc. will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing processes and equipment to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production and continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment.
- Conduct process capability studies and implement statistical process control (SPC) techniques.
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Production teams to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and smooth new product introductions (NPIs).
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flowcharts, and control plans.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Evaluate and select new manufacturing technologies and equipment.
- Provide technical support and training to production personnel.
- Participate in facility layout and capacity planning.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably within a high-volume production environment.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of medical device experience
- Proven experience with process optimization, Lean Manufacturing principles, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Working Knowledge of IQ/OQ/PQ and PPQ
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of successful root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD) and manufacturing simulation tools.
- Linux knowledge is a plus
- Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of industry quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Experience with automated manufacturing systems is a plus.
The pay range for this role is $68,800 - $123,800. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
