Electrical/Electronics Technician III – Maple Grove, MN (Contract)
Location:
Maple Grove, MN. Shift: 1st shift. Pay rate: $34.83/hr benefits: overtime, medical, dental, vision, 401(k).
- Electrical/Electronics Technician III with a 2‑year technical degree.
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a technician performing related tasks in a production or prototype environment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches.
- Experience with fabrication, assembly, test and inspection according to engineering drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions.
- Conduct testing and generate report data.
- Perform calibration and alignment checks.
- Make equipment adjustments, modifications, reworks and repairs.
- Work effectively as part of a group or team.
- Assemble electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
- Rework and repair circuit boards containing surface‑mount and through‑hole components.
- Fabricate mechanical and electrical parts from sketches/drawings and prepare samples for testing.
- Operate necessary equipment and maintain a safe work environment in compliance with safety objectives and policies.
Work in the Electrical Engineering Lab supporting complex product and support equipment. Responsibilities include design, development, fabrication, assembly, test, inspection, troubleshooting, rework, and repair.
Skills Preferred- Assist engineers in the design and development of new systems and equipment.
- Develop and prepare schematics, design specifications, parts lists, and make recommendations regarding these items.
- Review designs and specifications of test equipment or tools for adequacy.
- Conduct tests or experiments requiring selection, set‑up, operation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide variety of equipment.
- Troubleshoot electronic, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Determine engineering/test data to be collected, extract information, and perform calculations to analyze test data.
- Create test procedures, conduct tests, record data, analyze data, and write reports.
- Be trained and proficient in manufacturing & quality requirements of IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 and IPC‑610, or have knowledge of these requirements.
- 10+ years working in an engineering product development, test, or production environment.
