About the role:
The Manufacturing Engineer III will lead engineering projects to improve products, processes, and equipment to meet operations goals (safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity). This role routinely partners with cross-functional teams to evaluate, problem-solve and implement improvements to manufacturing processes within the business unit.
Onsite position from our Maple Grove, MN location. This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
Your responsibilities- Implement projects to address non-conformances, low yields, or other quality/production issues.
- Communicate effectively to peers, operations management, and supporting divisions (R&D, Sustaining Engineering, Project Management, etc.).
- Plan, organize and prioritize daily work to meet production and project goals.
- Apply problem solving and process improvement methodologies to complex manufacturing processes, driving root cause analysis and resolution.
- Develop experimental strategy and present technical data in support of problem solving and process improvement activities.
- Train and/or provide work direction to manufacturing operators and technicians.
- Recognize quality signals and escalate appropriately within the quality system requirements.
- Lead projects with cross-functional team members working towards common business goals.
- Collaborate with divisional customer teams (R&D, Sustaining Engineering, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Quality, and others) to deliver on new product introductions, change management, process improvements, or business continuity projects.
- Work with vendors/suppliers on technical design, procurement, and fabrication of materials, equipment, fixturing, etc.
- Identify improvement opportunities, prioritize them, communicate to appropriate levels and drive them through to completion.
- Demonstrate resilience in the face of setbacks and plan appropriately for risks and unforeseen problems.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably Manufacturing, Electrical, Materials Science or Mechanical).
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
- Strong understanding of engineering and problem-solving principles, concepts, tools, and techniques, as well as fundamentals of change management.
- Proven ability to collaboratively draw ideas from cross-functional teams; strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of quality systems and experience working on a process with acceptance activities.
- Experience in the medical device industry.
- Problem solving and process improvement experience.
- Experience with test method validation, process validation and qualification of equipment.
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.

Salary range: Minimum $78,300 — Maximum $148,800
The anticipated compensation and benefits vary by location and other factors. Compensation will be commensurate with experience, education and certifications. Boston Scientific is an equal opportunity employer.
