Mechanical Engineer
Osseo, MN | Direct Hire | $100,000-$120,000

Konik is partnering with a well-respected manufacturing and engineering firm seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and manufacturing of industrial systems and components. This role combines hands‑on engineering with collaboration across production, R&D, and project management teams to ensure designs are feasible, optimized, and aligned with company standards.

Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine mechanical designs for production components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with design specifications and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Create detailed CAD models, drawings, and documentation to support manufacturing and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with production and project teams to troubleshoot design issues, resolve technical challenges, and implement improvements.
  • Assist in prototyping, testing, and validation of components to ensure reliability, performance, and manufacturability.
  • Support cost analysis, process optimization, and design standardization initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation and change management records.
Mechanical Engineer Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or production environments.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (Solid Works, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and materials.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams while maintaining independent ownership of design responsibilities.
