About the role:
Assists in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment. Under direct supervision/guidance, compiles, analyzes, and reports operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified products, processes, or materials. Your responsibilities will include:
- Undertake and successfully complete simple or basic project/product development tasks to include any of the following: writing and/or verifying specifications; maintaining product/process documentation; testing processes, equipment, raw materials, and product; and validating equipment and processes
- May assist in inventing/creating concepts and designs/approaches for new products/processes/test methods
- Design, procure, and fabricate simple tooling and fixtures
- Design and coordinate rudimentary engineering tests and experiments
- Apply the Technical Development Process (TDP)/Product Development Process (PDP) methodologies
- Prepare standard reports/documentation to communicate results to technical community
- Complete basic tasks on engineering documentation
- Train technicians/operators on new processes and/or test procedures
- Identify areas for improvement, suggest solutions, and submit idea records
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with medical device industry standards
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
- 3 months experience in Research and Development focused on Interventional Oncology and Embolization
- Prior internship or co-op experience with Boston Scientific
Preferred qualifications:
- Strong communications and time management abilities
- Computer aided design proficiency in Solid Works

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
